You will be instrumental in organizing and leading various activities, such as Bible studies, worship services, retreats, and community service projects, all designed to engage and inspire our youth. Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings for both middle school & high school.
Develop and deliver engaging Bible studies and lessons tailored to youth.
Organize and oversee youth events, retreats, and mission trips.
Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to youth members.
Recruit, train, and mentor youth volunteers and leaders.
Collaborate with church staff to integrate youth activities into the broader church calendar.
Engage with parents and guardians to support the spiritual development of their children.
Develop relationships with local schools and community organizations.
Maintain a presence at church services and other key events & community (school events) for our youth.

Bachelor's degree in youth ministry or a related field preferred.
Strong understanding of adolescent development and issues.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
Proficient in using technology and social media for ministry purposes.
Creative and innovative approach to youth engagement.
Experience in organizing large events, camps, or retreats.
Devout Christian with a strong personal faith.
Ability to relationally connect with and mentor young people.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, especially with our youth.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Commitment to the beliefs and values of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and attend overnight events as needed.

Ceresco is a small farming village in Saunders County, Nebraska with big heart and rural roots. The population was 919 at the 2020 census is located off U.S. Highway 77; just 10 minutes north of Lincoln, just south of Wahoo, and a short distance southwest of Omaha.
Lincoln is our closest metro, the capital of Nebraska, and the home of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. It boasts a smaller city feel with no lack of restaurants (both local and chain), large & small scale events and things to do throughout the calendar year.
