Ceresco Covenant Church began a new ministry called Awana Club in September 2018.
What is Awana Club? Awana stands for “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed,” which comes from 2 Timothy 2:15, which reads “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
What do we do during Awana Club? We share a meal together at 6:00 pm. At 6:30 pm, clubbers gather together for the opening ceremony where we sing songs of praise. Then the different age groups rotate between playing a game, participating in a devotional time with Pastor Matt, or reciting Bible verses to their Team Leaders that they have memorized during the week. The evening ends with everyone gathered together for closing time. During this time, special awards and achievements are acknowledged. Parents are encouraged to attend the Closing Time.
The Awana Prayer: Our prayer is that all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Please make plans to come on Wednesday evenings in September 2019, as we launch our second year of Awana Club.
