What To Expect On A Sunday Morning

9:30    Worship Service
10:30  Coffee and Fellowship
10:45  Christian Formation (Adult, Youth, Children)

Nursery

The Church offers a nursery area for children ages infant - 5 years old. The Nursery is staffed by congregation members and is located in the West Fellowship room.

Hearing Devices

Williams Hearing Devices are available to those who request them.

Worship Services

A biblical message from Pastor Jodi, Pastor Brad or an occassional guest speaker. Services normally last one hour. Communion is served by the Pastors and congregation members at the front of the church on the first Sunday of each month. All believers in Jesus are welcome to participate in the sacrament of communion.

Worship Attire

People are dressed in everything from traditional church clothing (dress shirt, tie, dresses, heels, etc.) to jeans, t-shirts and sandals. We welcome everyone no matter what your attire is.

Music Ministry

Worship services have contemporary and praise music with traditional hymns mixed in. The choir performs at Easter and Christmas. Special music is performed by various groups and soloists each month.

Coffee Fellowship

Each Sunday after worship we enjoy time together with a fresh, hot cup of cofee and special treats prepared by volunteers each week in the East Fellowship Room.

Christian Formation

Life-long learning doesn't just happen on Sundays. Even though education is an important component of formation, the "phrase 'Christian Education' fails to connote the kind of whole-person learning Jesus sought. Our goal is to move from knowledge to informed practice, through the transforming work of the Spirit, so that the Bible comes alive among us. We seek to integrate our knowing with our being and our doing."

Pastor's Welcome

Thank you for visiting our website! We hope this website answers some of the questions you might have about our church before you visit. Our goal as a congregation is to grow in faith and share that faith with people like you. We have been rooted in this community for over 100 years and as we move forward, we are also moving outward to serve others. The first visit to a new church is not easy. We are regular people and hope you will find us to be warm and inviting. If you decide to visit us for a Sunday worship service, be sure to sign the attendance pad.
I look forward to meeting you,
Pastor Jodi

Pastoral Intern

In 2009, our congregation made a commitment to host a pastoral intern from North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago. This is a guided learning experience for all involved. The intern experiences God, gains an understanding of what it means to be a pastor (worship, visitation, administration, programs, etc.) and learns about living in a town and country setting. The congregation commits the time and financial resources to love and care for this person so it is a great experience for the intern. We are also mindful of the role we share in developing the intern’s gifts and talents for service to God and the wider Evangelical Covenant Church.
